Criticism that's used for destruction is valueless, cruel and selfish. It's also easy since nothing is perfect. I think we can also agree that Musk wants to take over the financial operations and technology of the government so he can gain even more wealth and power. It's so pathetic I can't even adequately describe it. I didn't know anything about 18F until they were all fired and I began to read about the people who did such great work behind the curtain. We all are diminished by these actions.

100% this! I wouldn't be the content strategist and content designer I am now without the resources (style guides, accessibility guidelines, inclusive design frameworks) shared by 18F. Working there was always a dream job of mine because it would mean an opportunity to use my skills and expertise in the service of improving how the government interacted with people.
Still processing this, but I am grateful to everyone who worked and 18F and hope the organization can somehow reassemble and continue there work.
