I am so tired of watching the endless parade of Republicans proving day in and day out that they are incapable of governing, that their "leaders" are incompetent on a scale that is incomprehensible and that causes harm.

Not helpful for Sen. Tuberville to be blocking military promotions right now.

Not helpful for Republican senators to blocking diplomatic confirmations, including that of Biden's Israeli ambassador.

Not helpful for rightwing extremists in Congress to be blocking Ukraine aid right now -- helping Putin and signaling to bad actors that the West will not help allies.

Not helpful for Trump to have revealed Israel defense secrets to Putin, an ally of Iran and Hamas.

Not helpful for the media to be letting the right off the hook, per usual.

I hope you can find a headline writer who knows that the possessive of the pronoun "it" is "its," NOT "it's."

As PJ O’Rourke once said, Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work. Then they get elected and set out to prove it.

DJT is perpetually dishonest and in fact knows that we the taxpayers fund the illegal occupation of Gaza with $4 billion a year ($10.7 million a day) in foreign military aid alone and have without much opposition since 1951. Without US aid the traumatizing oppression of the Palestinian people would not be sustainable, and Palestinians would not need to resist their oppressor with what Israel pushed congress in 2015 to label a “terrorist” organization despite their presence being Palestinians’ only hope for avoiding the total annihilation that Israel just threatened, as Russia has threatened Ukraine. Invasions and occupations violate international law. Shame on Trump for reversing the blame and for not caring about either population of victims, Ukraine or the besieged Gazans. Stand for peace and against US’s long standing complicity in illegal occupation and war crimes.

There are people who have spent their lives trying to make truth fungible. They prove my point daily.

These lying divisive repugs are traitors. They have sided with Hamas and Russia against the president of the USA.

Call them what they are, Hamas loving traitors.

Throw dog shit at them if you see them in the street. Enough, fuck these liars.

Good point about the headlines - I propose:

Trump takes another trip to Fantasyland and the usual suspects climb aboard.

On the blocked appointments and promotions, can someone please tell me how that rule - that in a body of 100 legislators, any one person can block any promotions and appointments s/he wants to - ever got implemented, and why they can't just modify it? Surely Tubby, Howly, and Ratchet Pawl don't have that much backing in the Senate.

Good article and generally good content but promoting that vile , dishonest Mona Charen article is over the line in this moment. If that reflects your views I think I’ll have to opt out. Sorry
