Like with Cinque Terra, get a list of the 10 places to see before you die and start with number 11. Go to Liguria or to La Marche (wonderful food, wine, history, culture, seafood and beaches... and left out of the English and French guide books). Take the train. Trains in Italy are great, and they run on time, unlike France or Germany. Use the Trenit app to find schedules and connections, and Trenitalia to buy tickets online just before departure, no lines and in English. Get the Osterie 2024 app, Slow Food approved restaurants, often really easy on the budget.
