Instead of calling this misinformation, we should call it disinformation. Misinformation: “false information that is spread, regardless of whether there is intent to mislead.” Disinformation: “deliberately misleading or biased information; manipulated narrative or facts; propaganda.” (Dictionary.com) The vast majority of these lies are disinformation.

Thats a good point. I have been using them interchangeably.
