You hit some good spots over 3 days in Portland. Lots more to explore in Maine including southern beach communities (e.g. kennebunkport, ogunquit), the midcoast ( e.g. rockland, camden), Downeast (including Acadia NP), western mountains , and Central Maine lakes regions. Have fun.
Great article about a great location! However, it is the “Maine Beer Company” (although I’m sure the Maine Beer Company is the main beer company in Freeport!).
I am originally from Maine - still have family there. When I took my fiancee there to meet family, we spent 10 days staying in B&B's along the coast so he could explore the various towns and the antique stores. Now there are fewer shops and lots more airBNB. Summer was my favorite time with fresh blueberry pie served warm with vanilla ice cream after a meal of lobster. Fall has the gorgeous leaves...
