"I left because it was clear to me that the people making these decisions about my work conditions were not only unconcerned about my ability to be productive, but were actively hostile toward it."

A statement that gets more chilling when the scope expands to the population at large.

The executive branch and many in the GOP are actively hostile towards the public at large - something they will demonstrate today as they vote to kick people off their health care while increasing the deficit.

Grim time.

I greatly enjoyed reading your post. Although the need for a much better approach to technology and information systems in the federal government has long been clear, the current news about the Air Traffic Control woes has reinforced public understanding. Thank you all for continuing to bring attention to the cruel, idiotic and shortsided efforts of the corrupt billionaires occupying our government to destroy the professional civil service. I’d be interested to see a follow-up post from you discussing the Musk/DOGE pipe dream of replacing skilled employees with AI substitutes…

What do you make of this USAJOBS listing? Why would the White House need a product manager?

I'm glad you're having a different experience. I think you should write about it and put your real name to it.
