Agreed.

This is madness.

On your last point on the debt, this bill is a productivity destroyer, an outcome not assumed in CBO scoring.

This is the reverse of the WW2 mobilization effort when cooperation was infectious. It all but guarantees wasted, imprisoned, deported and cross purposed labor.

It will make the US older, demographically. White people aren't breeding like they used to.

And there is NO way that the current $ value measures of current non fixed income investments (including, especially crypto) will prove fungible at anything near current exchange rates.

Will we become like gangsters using the Military to shake down the rest of the world thus validating by force US equity and crypto values?

I fear for even the medium term future.

I worry that the debt estimates are, if anything, understated. At some point the rest of the world will stop funding the US at discount rates as the country no longer seems viable.

I used to be a hedge fund trader in the 90s.

Our country would be a prime opportunity to crash a currency, were we not issuer of the world's reserve currency. We are in a debt spiral with not just no credible attempt to right the ship, a manifest desire to blow it out.

If the US financial oligarchy is NOT trying to force a crash to take over further financial control of the nation they are fools.

I could not agree with you more. I am 77 and my husband is 81. Both of us have been registered Democrats ever since we qualified to vote. You and others like you, inspire us. Keep on walking, keep on talking.
